Walking into Retro Sect feels like stepping into a time machine. Shelves lined with retro consoles, cabinets filled with action figures, and walls covered in gaming history—it’s a wonderland for collectors and enthusiasts alike. Whether you’re hunting for an old-school Game Boy, a forgotten PS1 classic, or just want to soak in the atmosphere of a place dedicated to all things retro, this shop has it all.
STOCK GALORE
And when I say stock, I mean STOCK. If you love PlayStation 2, Game Boy, SNES, or N64, you’ll be in heaven. There are piles of PS2 games, from absolute classics to hidden gems you might have forgotten about. The Game Boy section is stacked with consoles, accessories, and cartridges covering everything from Pokémon to the weird and wonderful oddities of the handheld’s library. SNES and N64 lovers aren’t left out either—there are rows of carts waiting to be rediscovered, whether you’re after the big hitters or the lesser-known gems. You could spend hours just sifting through everything, and I fully plan on doing just that.

Being local to me, I already know this is going to become a regular haunt. And a big part of what makes Retro Sect so special is Ben, the legend who owns and runs it. Not only is he incredibly knowledgeable about everything in his store, but he’s also a top bloke to chat with. We had a great conversation about our shared love of Game Boys, and let’s just say my wallet is already preparing for future damage.
